Nate and I were in the car on our way back from the airport and we see a boy riding his bike across a busy intersection; Nate says that his dad always told him to not wear headphones while he was on a bike or skateboard or anything. It automatically made me think of something I saw on the news a while back. I ask him if he heard about the girl and the railroad tracks. He said he hadn’t so I
continued to tell him the girl was picking up coins that people would place on the tracks to get flattened by the trains and she was listening to her ipod with her headphones, she didn’t hear the train, was hit and instantly died. He was quiet and looking down at his phone. I wondered if he heard me,  “Nate, did u hear me?” he then said "soooooo….that bitch died (pause) for .37 cents?????” I was rolling... laughing so hard I couldn’t breathe. Then he said "it probably wasn't even $.37." Of all the things he could think of, that’s where his thoughts went. Smh.  - Allyn
